Product overview

Not every route needs a cabin. On beachfront resorts, zoo paths and wedding estates, guests want the sun, the breeze and an unobstructed view. The Open-Air Sightseeing Shuttle is the LQ-platform answer: compact, light and deliberately simple, with everything that would rust on a coastal site engineered out.

At 3.35 m long it fits paths a full-size shuttle cannot reach, and its 4.2 m turning circle lets drivers handle tight switchbacks between planting beds without reversing.

Design and construction

The frame is galvanised and then powder-coated, and every fastener is A2 stainless steel. On coastal sites this is the difference between a vehicle that lasts eight years and one that shows rust in the second season. Seat frames are aluminium rather than steel for the same reason.

The canopy is a fabric-over-frame design held by four quick-release pins. One person can remove it in under four minutes for open-air duty and refit it for a rainy week, which is why resorts with unpredictable weather choose this model over a fixed roof.

Performance in real operation

A 3 kW motor on a 48 V pack suits the vehicle's role: short hops at low speed rather than long road transfers. Range reaches 70–85 km, which on a resort loop of 1.2 km means fifty-plus circuits between charges.

Because the vehicle is light at 720 kg, energy consumption is low enough that many operators charge it from a standard wall socket overnight and never think about it again.

Where this model is used

Beach resorts use it for towel-to-room transfers; zoos use it for keeper rounds and visitor rides; wedding venues use it to move guests from a car park to a ceremony lawn. All three value the same thing — a small, quiet, open vehicle that feels like part of the landscape rather than machinery on top of it.
