Product overview

Not all refuse is bagged and binned. Parks departments, grounds teams and event clean-up crews deal in bulk: branches, grass cuttings, cardboard, abandoned litter. The Electric Refuse Tipper is built for that material — a high-sided sealed body that tips cleanly and can be hosed out afterwards.

It sits alongside the refuse collection vehicle in our sanitation range, sharing chassis and drivetrain so a depot running both needs one service kit and one set of procedures.

Design and construction

The body has 500 mm sides and a sealed floor with a drain plug, so liquid from green waste does not become a corrosion problem or a smell. Tipping angle is 50° — higher than the standard tipper — because wet grass and cardboard need a steeper angle to discharge fully.

Optional fittings include a litter-picking cage that mounts to the tailgate for two-person collection, and quick-release tool mounts for rakes and brooms. These are small features that crews ask for by name after a season of use.

Performance in real operation

Payload is 1,500 kg with a 60 V drivetrain delivering 22 km/h and 12% gradeability loaded. Range of 50–65 km reflects the heavy, stop-start nature of grounds work.

The tipping ram is a single-stage hydraulic cylinder with a gravity return through a throttle valve, so the body lowers smoothly rather than dropping — important when the vehicle is working near planting or paving.

Where this model is used

Parks and gardens departments, municipal grounds teams, golf courses and event clean-up contractors. It is also used on construction sites for light demolition waste where a full tipper is more capacity than the job needs.
